Improve. Improve! IMPROVE!!! Yes, that is the message the Capital Improvement Committee would like to share with Midway business and property owners.
Again this year, DMA is offering storefront improvement grants for Midway business and commercial property owners located in the NPI boundaries along SE Division Street between 117th & 148th Avenues.
In an effort to make storefront grants easier to access, the committee has revised the grant process. Grants are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no set deadlines to apply. Once approved, businesses will have one year to complete the project and receive from 25% to 75% reimbursement on the approved project. The percentage difference reflects the community’s vision for Division. Since 2012, DMA and the Capital Improvement Committee have been collecting visioning data from community members and the committee used that information to allow for a greater percentage reimbursement for projects that are aligned with that vision. Design assistance is also available to allow businesses the opportunity to virtually apply improvements to their spaces.
