DMA Participates in May Day

Lute, DMA's Business and Asian Pacific Community Liaison, visited Oregon's Capital to support bills that will affect refugees and immigrants and to participate in May Day. Lute was able to meet state representatives and governor, Kate Brown. Governor Kate Brown signed the proclamation for Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month!

One of the bills discussed with state representatives was The Drivers License for All Bill, a bill that eliminates the requirement that a person provides proof of legal presence before the Department of Transportation issues non-commercial driver license, driver permit or identification card.
