DMA thanks our great volunteers: Without you, there could be no festival. Thanks also to Brandon Treadway with Treadway Events for managing the event and to People.Places.Things for lining up the Taste of Nations tent!!
Let's give Festival sponsors a big round of applause
First up is Get__Space! Daniel Lyman's company stepped up as Presenting Sponsor for the third annual Festival of Nations. His company is looking to break ground this fall at SE 124th & Division and continue being a big part of our East Portland's multicultural community.
Our Gold sponsors this year were the Oregon Public Health Institute, whose eye is on improving our community's well-being, and Mt. Hood Community College, helping residents get the skills to get ahead. Local organizations like the Hazelwood Neighborhood Association and the Midway Business Association sponsored at the Gold Level this year. Local businesses who sponsored at the gold level also include Curtis Trailers, Casa Del Sol, Portland Sand & Gravel, Rose City Vision Care, and Bad Boy Auto.
Our Silver sponsors are just as precious: Grocery Outlet, Mill Park Neighborhood Association, Centennial Community Association, Powellhurst Gilbert Neighborhood Association, Oregon State Parks, Disc Golf Depot, Day Chiropractic, MLK Property Management & Keepsake Family Tree Video are all owed a BIG thank you. Thank you as well to Silver Sponsor Multnomah County Commissioner Jessica Vega Pederson. Prosper Portland. Thanks to our media partners MetroEast Community Media and KBOO Community Radio.
The next time you are in these businesses or visiting these organizations thank them for their support--who knows, you might just find something you need!
Without Duke's American Bar & Grill at SE 146th & Division, we wouldn't have had our place to play this year. Wasn't it just the best Festival site EVER?! Weren't all the musical acts great? We traveled and danced from Mexico to Bollywood. Thank you so much, Mexica Tiahui Aztec Dancers (and drummers), Dram & Go, Son de Cuba.Karen Musicians, Zomi Dancers, African ShowBoyz, Sherrie Davis (Native flutist), and DJ Prashant & Jai Ho! Dance Party Bollywood.
Thanks, too, to all the acts that were on the grounds from Gentle Biff, the clown with a knack for balloon creations, to the face-painting genius of Beyond the Lines.
Thank you, all! We can't wait to see you next year!
