Happy Holidays, Best Wishes for a Great New Year!
Help keep up DMA's work for Outer SE Portland
Please be part of the changes through gifts of time and money

In 2017, the Division Midway Alliance was at the forefront of fighting for businesses and our communities at large, while organizing another successful Festival of Nations, neighborhood cleanup and, for this holiday season, a warm-clothes drive.

Along with businesses along Division from SE 116th to 146th, we campaigned for business-access-friendly revisions with PBOT and TriMet, which are planning big alterations to traffic and transit flow in our area. In November.

Please read more about what's happening  at DMA from storefronts to the festival and advocacy on our redesigned website,

Holidays made happier at Duke's: Jason Michael Carroll (in cowboy hat) and Tod Foulk (in the funky hat) of Portland Fashion Week help the crew at Duke's -- Noah Patraw (left), Julie Folks, and manager Brad Lee --(second right), Duke's manager, and crew celebrate filling this stocking with warm clothing for those in need. There's still time to add your contributions at DMA's office, 11721 SE Division.
Festival of Nations moves to July 15

Next year's Festival of Nations will not only celebrate our communities but also the best of summer, because it's moving up to July 15. Once again, Duke's Bar and Grill will be the event's gracious host site.

The 2017 Festival drew a record number of sponsors, and we are aiming even higher in the coming year. So expect to hear from us soon!

Planning for the 2018 event will begin once the new year has been rung in!
Welcoming Wednesdays continue Jan. 17, and 31, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Midland Library, 801 SE 122nd Ave.
Learn about Neighborhood Mapping

The second Neighborhood Mapping gathering for the Myanmar community is tonight, Dec. 20, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the Midland Library, 805 SE 122nd Ave.

This second meeting will delve more deeply into topics required to pass the U.S. citizenship test, including: identifying streets; figuring out how to get from home to shops, workplaces and other destinations; and the "vocabulary" of maps.

The final meeting on Jan. 17, 2018, also at the Midland library from 5:30 p.m., will focus on safety and public transit. Among topics community members will be learning about bus routes and schedules and TriMet's Hot passes.

These events are organized by DMA, Portland Meet Portland and the city's transportation and planning and sustainability bureaus.
