A new round of  Jade-Midway Placemaking Project events launches Saturday, May 21, with “What is Place? Stories of Housing and Transit Justice.” Renters and transit riders are invited to share their stories with Living Stages and other groups from noon to 2 p.m. at Southeast 82nd Avenue and Division Street.

The East Portland Neighborhood Prosperity Initiatives (NPIs) hosted a jobs fair May 11 for East Portland residents.  Historic Parkrose, Division Midway Alliance (DMA) and the Rosewood Initiate, the three NPIs east of I-205, brought together 26 Portland employers to connect them to local job seekers.  The employers included the Portland Police Bureau, Metro, FedEx, Human Solutions and Duck Delivery Produce.
