DMA CENSUS 2020

Dear Family and Supporters of DMA,

We understand times are hard right now, but it is important to complete the CENSUS! DMA is one of the Census Assistance Centers. We can help communities in 8 different languages- Arabic, Burmese, Chamorro, English, Karen, Nepali, Spanish, and Tongan. We are also collaborating with The Rosewood Initiative in making sure everyone is counted, therefore, if we are not able in a specific language, please reach out to them! Remember every person counts, even babies and grandparents! The more people are counted the more funding we will receive for our ROADS, FIRE DEPARTMENTS, HOSPITALS, SCHOOLS, and MORE REPRESENTATION IN CONGRESS!!

Storefront Grant

A-1 Hawk

We are excited to share that A-1 Hawk has successfully completed its storefront grant improvements project. With the help of Division Midway Alliance Storefront Improvement Grants, the business revitalized their storefront signs and renovated the back of their building. We are glad that we've helped out small businesses during these impactful times and excited for the owner and the new signs.

Unemployment for Self-Employed

With pandemic issues still plaguing the community, we wanted to make sure you knew about Oregon's updated unemployment option for self-employed workers and businesses.

This is an important benefit for workers who are self-employed, contract workers, sole proprietors, and those who are not eligible for regular unemployment benefits. If you have already applied and been denied because you are self-employed, it is advised to apply again. It is available in multiple languages. Please check it out and also share with others that may benefit:

Division Transit Project Update

Raimore Construction has continued construction on Division Street. At present, they are working at the 142nd East & West Bound platforms, some limited utility work will occur at 130th and possibly 119th soon. Construction plans change on a frequent basis, so if you have any questions, feel free to connect with Paulina Salgado Carbajal at salgadop@trimet.org.

As for 142nd & Division Street: From 7 am to 4 pm.

Auto impacts: Lane shifts and closures across Division Street. Eastbound and westbound travel along Division Street is maintained.

Pedestrian and cyclist impacts: Temporary pathways installed for cyclists and pedestrians to detour around curbside work zones.

For trips to Gresham Transit Center, no service to the eastbound stop at SE Division & 125th (Stop ID 1383) due to the PBOT HSIP BikePed project. Use a temporary stop located 190 feet east on a wood utility pole. Please slow down and expect delays near the construction zones. For construction emergencies, please call 503-962-2222.
