Learn about SE Division safety plan Thursday
PBOT event Nov. 9 at PCC offers chance to weigh in big makeover
PBOT will host an open house to address changes for the road. If you can, please come to the event, 5-7 p.m. at PCC's Community Hall Annex, 2305 SE 82nd. Read more.
New parks on the agenda. It's rare for Portland's City Council to hold an East Portland meeting, so this will be a great opportunity to speak out -- especially about FUNDING for redesigned Mill and Midland parks as well as a brand new one at SE 150th and Division. Everyone is welcome to the community reception at 5 p.m. in the high school's cafeteria. 
Get Space under construction: Festival of Nations presenting sponsor Get Space has broken ground on its new storage facilities at SE 124th Avenue and Divison Street. 
Meet your neighbors, build community
Nov. 8 and 22, and beyond, at Midland Library

Welcoming Wednesdays, organized by Portland Meet Portland, invites East Portland residents not only to meet their neighbors but also to find out about ways to help members of our refugee and immigrant communities transition into their new lives. 

One program helps people become U.S. citizens, which takes place at the DMA office. 

So find out more about volunteering every other Wednesday through January at the Midland Library, 801 SE 122nd Ave., 5:30-7:30 p.m.

East Side
Job Fair

More than 50 companies, including some of the Portland area's major employers will meet and talk to job candidates at the East Side Job Fair, hosted by SE Works and the Community Works Project.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the DHS East County Family Service Center, 11826 NE Glisan St. will meet with job candidates Nov. 16, 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the DHS center, 11826 NE Glisan.
